Quarantine Life means staying at home and playing the never-ending game of “What can I do to entertain myself?” Thankfully, the internet proves to be an endless source of entertainment. We also owe a special extension of gratitude to our favorite TV series which have kept us from totally losing our minds during this strange time. But how do we decide what to watch? Well, you can always try our method…
Aquarius (January 20th- February 18th)
Westworld Season Three
Okay, so my internet research tells me that the defining characteristics of Aquarius include highly intelligent people who are also considered deep thinkers? Well, as someone who doesn’t exactly consider themself to be highly intelligent, I often find myself thoroughly confused when it comes to watching Westword. It probably explains why I took so much time to stream the first reason. In any case, this show is a science fiction delight and I highly recommend it to these interested parties.
Pisces (February 19th- March 20th)
Love is Blind
I’d describe this as an…interesting…new show where a group of single people are put into rooms to talk to potential love interests, but they aren’t allowed to see them. If a connection is made, they have to propose before they can actually see each other. Basically, it’s a recipe for entertaining drama. Pisces are described as romantic and spiritual, so I couldn’t think of a better recommendation.
Aries (March 21st- April 19th)
Miss Americana
Taylor Swift is one of those public figures who always manages to attract a sizable following of loyal fans and menacing detractors alike. However, this beautiful documentary takes you behind the scenes, drawing back the layers on her pop-star fame and revealing a genuine young woman who only wants to share her love for music with the world. As for the Aries out there, my research tells me that they’re considered courageous, confident, and optimistic. Thus, I couldn’t find a more apt title for your enjoyment.
Taurus (April 20th- May 20th)
Curb Your Enthusiasm: Season 10
Excuse me, but the word “Practical” in the Taurus description made me think about this show. Individuals with the Tauris sign are also considered patient and responsible. As a show that carefully navigates the controversial subject matter it grapples with, I can’t think of a better show to encapsulate the term “responsible.” Not to mention, you can watch Larry David wear a MAGA hat everywhere because he doesn’t want anyone to talk to him.
Gemini (May 21st- June 20th)
Nailed It!: Season Four
As far as I’d call a series “quirky,” I’d say this one tops the list. Because, let’s face it, the reason some of you watch cooking shows is to witness the occasional meltdown/total catastrophe. With this in mind, remember that some of the character traits for Gemini include curious, adaptable, and quick learners. Well, if an amateur baker is going to try and replicate a work of art, they need to adapt quickly to a stressful situation and use their minimal knowledge to prevent complete embarrassment.
Cancer (June 21st- July 22nd)
The Mandalorian
Highly Imaginative? Oh yes, Star Wars has you covered. Loyal? I can’t think of a more profound loyalty than the Mandalorian’s commitment to the safety and well-being of one of the Galaxy’s cutest inhabitants. Moreover, individuals who share the zodiac sign of cancer are also considered sympathetic, and I think the Mandalorian himself is a highly sympathetic character. For sure, Disney found themselves a pop-culture sensation with this wonderful series!
Leo (July 23rd- August 22nd)
Tiger King Documentary
I really wanted to make sure that Joe Exotic’s crazy character ended up on this list. Why include it for Leo’s? Well, since a defining characteristic is humorous, I couldn’t think of anything that made me laugh more outrageously than this insane documentary. Id’ tell you what it’s about, but it’s hard to explain and I’m sure most of you already know.
Virgo (August 23rd- September 22nd)
Self Made
This show is nothing short of inspirational. It basically tells the story of a woman named Madam C.J. Walker who became the first self-made African American millionaire. Say what you will about the wealthy, but some of their rags-to-riches narratives continue to drive the remnants of the American Dream. And for my fellow Virgo’s, since we’re considered analytical, hardworking, and practical individuals, this show perfectly matches our characters.
Libra (September 23rd- October 22nd)
Star Trek: Picard
I won’t lie, I actually haven’t fully watched this series in its entirety. However, it totally gives me Logan vibes, and Star Trek has always been a fun, science fiction adventure. Captain Picard himself is someone I would describe as cooperative, diplomatic, and fair-minded….But would you look at that? You are too if your zodiac sign is Libra.
Scorpio (October 23rd- November 21st)
The Outsider
Bravery is very much-needed for this creepy new series adapted from a Stephen King nightmare. I’d describe it as a police investigation drama gone wrong as things initially seem pretty normal, until all the Supernatural stuff forces the characters to question everything they once believed. In any case, Scorpios unite!
Sagittarius (November 22nd- December 21st)
To All The Boys: P.S. I Still Love You
A defining trait of Sagittarius? A great sense of humor. They’re also considered idealistic and I can’t think of a better word to describe this heart-warming, coming-of-age story! Trust me, if you liked the first one, then you’ll enjoy this one as well.
Capricorn (December 22nd- January 19th)
Brooklyn Nine-Nine: Season 7
Ironically, this is a comedy series, which doesn’t actually spell mature. However, that totally negates the fact that the series is also based in a NY precinct with a fun and lovable bunch of characters. It’s hard not to offer spoilers at this point, but I can assure you that this series is totally binge-worthy. Thus, for the responsible and disciplined Capricorns out there, you might wanna check this one out!
